At Rok Bistro, we bring you modern stone-age cooking at its very finest. Your Rok premium entrée is served and cooked on hot volcanic Roks to give its delicious flavor, as well as a wonderful aroma. Combined with our farm fresh salads, cheese and chocolate fondues to complement your entree, you will ROK with us!
Rok Bistro first worked with Jenny to get marketing help when they had been in business for 11 months. Their sales had not been as brisk as expected due to the down economy and lower-than-expected traffic caused by a nearby mall reconstruction project. Rok Bistro had completed a business plan and spent a large amount of marketing dollars advertising for their business which did not yield the expected results. Steve Wright, co-owner of Rok Bistro, was looking for help in cost-effective marketing and increase in sales. Jenny reviewed their business plan and marketing activities and made recommendations for a cohesive marketing strategy. Because the restaurant is located in a crowded marketplace, Jenny also recommended articulation of category ownership, clear positioning and messaging to build awareness and break the clutter. She helped Rok focus on sales-driven activities in the short-term, combined with public relations efforts and social media. Rok Bistro is now a very successful restaurant in Sunnyvale. You can see how they have used their positioning of “the stone-age, fondue and steak house” to differentiate themselves among 10 other restaurants on Murphy street.
